PLAGUES

Cor. 11:14; Mt.
24:24-27; GC 624, 625;
FE

- “In
this age 1 ANTICHRIST
will appear as the true CHRIST, and
THEN 2
the law of God will be fully made void in the nations of
our world. … the true leader of all this rebellion is SATAN
clothed as an angel of light. Men will be deceived and will exalt
him to the place of God, and deify him… to the apostate churches
that unite in the
exaltation of Satan, the sentence will go forth “Therefore shall
her plagues come in one day…. “ TM
62.
- “ANTICHRIST”
in the above statement is Satan.
- “The
determination of ANTICHRIST Satan to carry out the rebellion HE
BEGAN IN HEAVEN will continue to work in the children of
disobedience.”9T
230.
- “Satan
is striving to gain every advantage. … Disguised
as an angel of light. … CHRIST WILL BE PERSONIFIED, but
on one point there will be a marked distinction. Satan will turn
the people from the law of God.” FE
471, 472.
This takes place BEFORE the close
of probation.
- “We
are warned that in the last days he will work with signs and lying
wonders. An he will continue THESE WONDERS UNTIL THE CLOSE OF
PROBATION, that he may point to them as evidence that he is an
angel of light and not a darkness.” 5BC
1099; 2SM 51.
- Satan
“ … works with that power which is to characterize his efforts
near the close of probation.” ST
Nov. 6, 1884.
- “Pray
… that when the wonderful miracle-working power of Satan shall
be displayed, and the enemy shall come as angel of light, you may
distinguish between the genuine work of God, and the imitative
powers of darkness. “RH
Dec. 24, 1899.
- “And
Satan, surrounded by evil angels, and claiming to be God, will
work miracles of all kinds, to deceive if possible, the very
elect.”9T 16.
