THE LATTER RAIN

 

1.    BEGINS with the work of the mighty [fourth] angel – the angel of Rev. 18:1-4 RH Mar. 29, 1892.

 

2.    COINCIDES WITH the Little Time of Trouble EW 33, 85, 86.

 

 

3.    RIPENS earths’ harvest – brings  God’s people to full maturity completion, perfection of character. GC 611, 612; TM 506, 507, 509.

 

4.    SEALS God’s people. 5T 216, 475, 576. The Latter Rain does NOT CHANGE character, it FIXES character. The Latter Rain confirms and sets the character in holiness. The trials of faith that come during the Latter Rain and after will put the final polish upon the character.

 

 

5.    DEVELOPS  the third angel’s message into the Final lour Cry. Rev. 18:1-4; EW 277.

 

6.    EMPOWERS God’s people to give the Final Loud Cry. EW 85, 86.

 

 

7.    LIGHTENS the whole world. Rev. 18:1; GC 611, 612.

 

8.    MANY MIGHTY MIRACLES accompany  - the sick are healed EW 278; GC 612.

 

 

9.    PREPARES GOD’S PEOPLE:

a.    For The Time of Trouble and for the last 7 plagues 1T 353; EW 85, 86, 277; TM 506; AA 55

b.    For the second coming of Jesus. TM 506; AA 55.

c.     For the finishing touch of immortality. 1T 187, 188.

d.    To look upon the face of God and to live in His presence. EW 71; TM 506; AA 55

 

10.                       WHEN MAY WE EXPECT THE LATTER RAIN?

a.    The Latter Rain is the POWER of the Loud Cry.

b.    The loud Cry is the ANNOUNCEMENT that Babylon is fallen

c.     Babylon falls completely WHEN the National Sunday Law is enacted.

d.    Therefore the Latter Rain falls immediately FOLLOWING the National Sunday Law.
