THE MARRIAGE OF THE LAMB

Rev. 19:6-9 ; Matt. 25:1-10

 

1. The COMING of Christ to the marriage took place in 1844 and continues thereafter. GC 426.

 

2. The MARRIAGE takes place while Christ is in the Most Holy Place, before the close of probation. GC 428; EW 251, 280, 281.

 

3. The saints ATTEND the marriage BY FAITH. Mt. 25:10;  GC 427.

 

 

4. The INVESTIGATIVE JUDGMENT precedes the actual marriage. MT. 22:14; GC 428.

 

5. “THE MARRIAGE REPRESENTS the reception by Christ of His kingdom.” GC 426-428, 480; 7BC 872, 985, 986; COL 405-421; Dan. 7:9, 10, 13, 14.

 

 

6. “Christ had received His KINGDOM. … The subjects of the kingdom were made up. The MARRIAGE of the Lamb was consummated.” EW 280,  55.

 

7. “By THE MARRIAGE is represented the UNION of humanity with divinity.” COL 307.

 

 

8. THE WEDDING GARMENT represents the robe of Christ’s righteousness. Rev. 19:8; GC 428.]

 

9. “THE MARRIAGE SUPPER of the Lamb” takes place with Christ in heaven – after His second coming. Matt. 26:29; Lk 12:35-37; GC 427.
