Face to Face with the Wall

To understand the experience at the "WALL" -- one must understand who "Israel" is, so we begin our study back in Deut. -- and we are listening in on a conversation God is carrying on with the children of Israel through their leader Moses.

For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. The Lord did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people: for ye were the fewest of all people: But because the Lord loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the Lord brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt" (Deut. 7: 6-8).

But, you Light be asking, what has that got to do with me? Good question! and it deserves a good answer!

Rom. 2:28, 29 TODAY -- according to Paul; "He is NOT a Jew, which is one outwardly (by birth or genealogy) . . . But he IS a Jew, which is one inwardly. . . ."

Gal. 3:28, 29 TODAY "There is NEITHER Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all ONE IN CHRIST JESUS. AND if ye be Christ's, then are YE Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."

There was a "Literal Israel" (also known as "ancient Israel"), and NOW there is a "Spiritual Israel" (also known as "modern Israel") - and is that group that has taken the name of Christ ("Christian").

And how does God purpose to lead "Spiritual Israel"? Psa. 18:32 tells us!

"It is God that... maketh my way perfect."

And that is because, as the Psalmist tells us in Psa. 18:30:

As for God, his way is perfect. . . ."

And just WHAT IS HIS WAY? Psa. 77:13 tells us!

"Thy WAY, O God, IS IN THE SANCTUARY: Who is so great a God as our God?"

Moreover, Brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all OUR FATHERS were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; NOW all these things HAPPENED TO THEM for ensamples: and THEY ARE WRITTEN FOR OUR ADMONITION, (those of us) upon whom THE ENDS OF THE WORLD ARE COME."

SO - WHAT HAPPENED TO "ANCIENT ISRAEL" IS GOD' S TEXTBOOK FOR "MODERN ISRAEL" -OR --"SPIRITUAL ISRAEL" (MEANING "CHRISTIANS"!)

And - Just as "ancient Israel" had to come out of Egypt to be led by God, so does "spiritual Israel" have to come out of "spiritual Egypt" (cf. Rev. 11:8).

So let's begin our journey - out across the desert , through mountain passes, over rough terrain - and finally there we are - standing next to Mt. Sinai, looking down on the desert floor!

In the distance we can make out the camp of Israel, but out in the center two things loom up - one is a long white wall; the other is a tall dark box! And the interesting thing is that the closer we come to that long white wall - the less we see of the dark box! But that is all according to God's plan!

The wall represents the character God wants us to possess, and the dark box s the "how" of coming into possession OF His character. But in order to appreciate what He is about to do - He wants us to see ourselves as we really are, and see Him for who He really is!

So here we stand "FACE TO FACE WITH THE WALL" - and it stands out in stark contrast to our appearance!

Lets hold up the "Biblical Mirror" and see what WE look like! Isa. 64: 6! "We are ALL as an UNCLEAN THING, and all our righteousnesses are as FILTHY RAGS . . . " So here we stand next to this beautiful white wall -- "unclean" and in "filthy rags" -- but look at the message portrayed by that white wall!

Matt. 5:48 "BE YE THEREFORE PERFECT, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."

Is that discouraging, or what?! NO -- because God has "Good News" for us!

Zech. 3:4 Listen to what God says about our filthy rags and uncleanness: "Take away the filthy garments from him, and unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with a change of raiment."

Is that GOOD NEWS, or what! And let's see exactly what God has in mind for us!

Rev. 19:8 "And to (you and me) was granted that (we) should be arrayed in FINE LINEN (in place of those "filthy rags) clean and white (in place of our "uncleanness"), for the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints."

And HOW God brings about that wonderful transition IS FOUND IN THE SANCTUARY!

Going back to the wall (our character) there are some very important items we must consider - to understand, appreciate, and cooperate with, when we come inside.

We must note WHAT is holding that wall up. From the outside we can see "caps" above the curtain - and they are known as "chapiters" (just think of a "chapter in a book"). Chapiter in the Hebrew takes on the meaning of THE HIGHEST PART OF A MAN'S BODY, AND IT'S LOCATION IS TO THE FRONT. And a quick look at our anatomy will tell us that corresponds to our WILL! And it is our "will" that directs the actions of our whole body - including our blood vessels (3T, 70).

But those "chapiters" are connected to "pillars" or "posts" which are of wood. Rev. 3: 12 indicates that wood represents "humanity" --

"To him that overcometh will I make a PILLAR IN THE TEMPLE OF MY GOD, and HE shall go no more out. . . ."

Everything in the Court is "Brass", or Wood OVERLAID WITH BRASS. Everything in the Tabernacle is "Gold" or Wood OVERLAID WITH GOLD. And the metals represent "Divinity" - as the wood represents "humanity."

low we notice the bottom of the pillars - they have "Sockets". And in the Hebrew - "sockets" take on the meaning "Master" -- "the One who guides me."

So OUR CHAPITER (WILL) CHOOSES ITS SOCKET (MASTER), WHICH IN TURN TELLS THE CHAPITER (WILL) WHICH WAY TO GO, AND THE PILLAR (BODY) OBEYS THE WILL!

But there are a couple of other items we need to consider!

On each post - holding up the Curtain - are "Hooks" of silver. These "hooks" represent the "Law" - and "Silver" is represented by the sixth letter of the Hebrew alphabet "VAU" (cf. Psa. 119 for the complete alphabet, and between verses 40 and 41 is VAU) and embodies the meaning of "A LOVE FOR THE LAW", which is going to aid the mind (chapiter) to choose the right master (socket)!

There are 60 Pillars around the Sanctuary. And if you take the wall as your character - and add 60 of something to it - what would come to your mind, remembering it is showing us "CHARACTER BUILDING"? There are 60 seconds in a minute, and likewise 60 minutes in an hour - and that is the time-frame that God has designed for character building. And to show that He had then put "Silver Fillets" all around that wall, connecting each post. Silver being "THE LOVE OF THE LAW", and "Fillet" meaning "A MEASURING TAPE!" And how is man measured:
1. John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments (law).
2. James 2:12 "So speak ye, and so do, AS THEY THAT SHALL BE JUDGED (measured) By THE LAW OF LIBERTY."

Josh. 24:15, which says.. "Choose you THIS DAY whom ye will serve..." is telling us that our choices of "Sockets" (Masters) not only affect that moment in time, be it a second or minute, but it is connected to ALL our character building!

And John 8:42 and 44 show us who ultimately is chosen: God as Father, or "your father the devil. . . ."

And one last concern about the wall before we move on, and that is its size:

The Wall

The wall is 180 feet long, and 90 feet wide. MEANING; Two sides are twice as long as the other two. And there is divine purpose to that fact:

North

=

Evil, Dark forboding shadows

East

=

New Beginnings

South

=

Dry Parched Ground

West

=

Double Blessings

As the North and South walls are twice as long as the East and West walls --
So God designs that in our Character Building we will spend twice as much time under "Evil, Dark foreboding shadows, and Dry, Parched Ground" as we will under "New Beginnings" and "Double Blessings!" But we need not despair - God has made provisions for those periods of time!

Ex. 25:40 records God's words to Moses concerning building the Sanctuary: And LOOK (make sure) that thou make them after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount."

But there are two articles that God gave NO MEASUREMENTS for their building. One is in the Court, the other is in the Tabernacle.

In the Court - the "Laver" which holds water. So during those times when your "Character Building" takes you into the Dry, Parched Ground," just know that God has an "UNLIMITED SUPPLY OF WATER AT THE LAVER!

And in the Tabernacle it's the "Menorah," or "Gold Candlestick." So in those days of being under dark clouds - Just know that God has an UNLIMITED SUPPLY OF LIGHT AT THE MENORAH!

But those items are on the INSIDE, and we're on the OUTSIDE! So we begin to look for a way to get inside. We walk around the South, then West, then North sides, and find no way to get in. But when we come around to the East side there is the Gate! Yes, there is ONLY ONE WAY TO GET INTO THE PLAN OF SALVATION - Acts 4:12:

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." And what is that name? JESUS!

And Jesus Himself tells us that He is the Gate: THAT'S NUMBER 1!

"I am the WAY, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6.

And Scripture is very clear that the Father is in the Heavenly Sanctuary (cf. Psalms 77:13; Heb. 9:24), which means that Jesus also is in the Heavenly Sanctuary -- acting as the "Way: to the Father!

Heb. 4:14-16 And it is Jesus that bids us enter into the Sanctuary experience: "Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. LET US THEREFORE COME BOLDLY UNTO THE THRONE OF GRACE (ARK OF THE COVENANT), that we may obtain mercy (at the Mercy Seat), and find grace (power) to help in time of need."

So now we find ourselves INSIDE THE WALL! And immediately we come face to face with NUMBER 2!

There are two divisions to the Sanctuary:
1. The Court
2. The Tabernacle.

These two divisions speak of the two divisions of Christ's ministry -- Rom 5:10:
By His DEATH ARE WE RECONCILED (prepared to receive our inheritance), but by His LIFE ARE WE SAVED!

Dividing the Sanctuary into two halves, 90 feet by 90 feet each, we find first of all that the division takes place right through the center of the pillars at the front door. Not behind them, neither in front of them. And to bear this out we notice that the pillars are of Gold (the color of the Tabernacle furniture), but it's sockets are of Brass (the color of the furniture in the Court).

By finding the "center" of the court by dissecting it with lines, we find that the Altar of Sacrifice is in the very center! That's because the Altar of Sacrifice represents the Cross, the Court represents this earth, and the Center of Christ's life here on earth was going to the Cross!

Likewise with the Tabernacle; we find the center of that half is at the Ark of the Covenant -- which represents the Throne of God, and that is the Center of Christ's life today; Heb. 7:25:
"Wherefore he is able also to SAVE THEM to the uttermost THAT COME UNTO GOD BY HIM, seeing HE EVER LIVETH to make intercession for them."

And there is also seen the reward to those who refuse His salvation by the two articles in the Court:

1.

The Laver

The first article the lamb's body goes to after being killed -- to be washed

2.

Altar of Sacrifice

The second article that the lamb's body is taken to in the process of ridding of sin.

Two steps in purifying -- in the Court, this Earth -- which corresponds with God's way of purifying this earth also:

1.

The Flood

The Laver

2.

The Fire at last

The Altar of Sacrifice

3.

Leaving a residue

Ashes, which will be "under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts."

Next, facing us, are the THREE AREAS OF THE SANCTUARY;
1. Court,
2. Holy Place,
3. Most Holy Place. Each area plays a different role in getting us from Isa. 64:6 to Rev. 19:8!

The Court holds two articles of furniture - but it actually has three different "stations:"
1. Altar of Sacrifice,
2. Laver,
3. Cutting Boards (where the sacrifice was cut open and inspected inside.

So in the Court there is Fire, Water, and Blood. And how is man was saved? by Fire, by Water, and by Blood!
1. Fire: Acts 2:3,4 It was the reception of the Holy Spirit
2. Water: Mark 16:16 Baptism precedes Salvation
3. Blood: Rev. 12:11 Overcoming is accomplished "by the blood of the Lamb. . ," and only "Overcomers" will be admitted to heaven (cf. Rev. 3:12, 21).

In the Holy Place - where we "grow up into Christ Jesus (Eph. 4:15) we find three articles; 1. Table of Shewbread,
2. Altar of Incense,
3. Menorah, or Gold Candlestick.

The Table of Shewbread represents the study of God's Word (cf. John 6:51; John 1:1,14), The Altar of Incense (Golden Altar) represents prayer (cf. Rev. 8:3; 1 Thess. 5:17), And the Menorah represents the guidance of the Holy Spirit (cf. John 14:26; John 16:13).

And in the Most Holy Place, the "Preadvent Judgment" takes place, with the outcome determining who actually is admitted into heaven. (cf. Heb. 9:24; 1 Cor. 5:10; Heb. 9:3, 4; James 2:12.) In considering the meaning of the NUMBER THREE - there is the fact that there are 3 Sanctuaries! And to understand what they are - we must first determine what constitutes a "Sanctuary." Well Moses gives the best definition in Ex. 25:8:

"Let them build me a sanctuary. THAT I MIGHT DWELL AMONG THEM." So a sanctuary is where God meets with His children. Now the three:
1. Ex. 25:8 is referring to the "Church," for the Sanctuary in the wilderness was the Church in the wilderness.
2. Matt. 18:20 is referring to the home,
3. 1 Cor. 6:19 is referring to the Body Temple - where the Spirit of God dwelleth in man. CHURCH, HOME, and BODY!

Let's consider the "Body Temple" for a moment and note how God intended this "Sanctuary Model" to touch every fiber of our lives!

There are three areas in the "Wilderness Sanctuary" - and they correspond to how God created man:

1.

The Outer Court

PHYSICAL aspect of man

2.

Holy Place

MENTAL aspect of man

3.

Most Holy Place

SPIRITUAL aspect of man

And in considering where the "Mental" and "Spiritual" are located - we find the. in the brain, which is housed in the "Head." So the Tabernacle is a parallel to the Head of a person!

And those thoughts bring us Face to Face with NUMBER FOUR!

There are four coverings on the Tabernacle, Four Colors in the Tabernacle, Four Pillars at the Gate to the Court, and at the Vail before the Most Holy Place.

The Four Coverings on the Tabernacle:
1. Fine twined Linen died Red, Blue, Purple, and Gold
2. Goat's Hair Woven (White)
3 Ram's skin dyed Red
4. Badger's skin, OR Seal skin

God designed these coverings, not only for practical functioning - but also for protection for the children of Israel.

There was great wealth in the camp of Israel; a prize worth battle, especially when there were no weapons among the children of Israel! So - had the colors of royalty (purple), and the symbols of wealth (gold) been displayed for all to see - there would have been constant trouble in the camp warding off those desiring what they saw. But the Sanctuary represented Jesus, the Messiah to come, and Isaiah explains that connection to the Sanctuary - which influenced the arrangements by God in the building of the Sanctuary.

Isa. 53:2 Speaking of Jesus, "he hath no form nor comeliness; AND WE SHALL SEE HIM, THERE IS NO BEAUTY THAT WE SHOULD DESIRE HIM."

And just like ancient Israel - God designs that OUR WEALTH be hidden on the INSIDE of our Body Temples!

Phil. 2:5-8 illustrates the meanings of the colors:

"Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus." (And why is the word "WAS" used instead of "IS"? Because we cannot have the mind of Jesus as God - but we MUST have the mind of Jesus as man walking this earth!)

Verse 6 "Who being in the form of God (Purple for Royalty) . . . And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient (Blue; Num. 15:38, 39) unto death (Red - shed blood), even the death of the cross (Gold - purified elements of the earth. cf. Heb. 2: 9, 10, 18).

How I would like to use a Biblical Principle (and principles transcend circumstances or situations -- thus giving them many applications):

1 Cor. 15:46 "Howbeit that was not first which is SPIRITUAL, but that which is NATURAL (PHYSICAL); and AFTERWARD that which is SPIRITUAL."

John 4:35 is a classic example of what this principle is saying:

Jesus had just been revealing sin to the woman of Samaria - ALL HER PAST SINS! And she in turn had run into town and summon the folks there to come out and meet Jesus.

While she is calling the city folks - the disciples returned from a "food finding trip"! And the conversation must have turned to the grain fields around them, and someone probably noted that in four months the harvest would take place. "Small talk" we would call it.

But Jesus took something that was on their minds at the moment and used it as a call to action! "Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh the harvest? behold, I say unto YOU, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest."

Jesus saw a "human harvest" which probably escaped the attention of the disciples -- due to their prejudices against the Samaritans -- so Jesus used the "Natural" to lead to the "Spiritual"!

So, now back to our Sanctuary Model - I will use that same principle to demonstrate some spiritual lessons many times passed over, or not even seen.

We noted the parallel of the three areas with the three dimensions to man (MENTAL, PHYSICAL, and SPIRITUAL).

We noted the four colors (RED, BLUE, PURPLE, AND GOLD), and the four coverings (FINE TWINED LINEN DYED RED, BLUE, PURPLE, AND GOLD; GOAT'S HAIR WOVEN; RAM'S SKIN DYED RED, AND THE BADGER, OR SEAL' S SKIN).

Now let us look at the "Body Temple" and see it's parallel, and then the meanings:

1. FINE TWINED LINEN - RED, BLUE, PURPLE, AND GOLD = "Vital Organs of the body, with their supportive parts (Blood vessels carrying blood WITH oxygen are RED, and WITHOUT oxygen - BLUE. The coloration of same of the organs are PURPLE, and there is a yellowish, gold color to some of the connective tissue.

2. GOAT'S HAIR WOVEN (WHITE) = Skeletal System

3. RAM'S SKIN DYED RED = Muscle and Flesh

4. BADGER OR SEAL SKIN = Skin.

(If in doubt at this point - take the time to consider Ezek. 37, reading from the Hebrew the meaning of the words translated into English that describe the body parts!)

Now we have brought ourselves face to face with NUMBER FIVE!

God had Moses build the Sanctuary carefully - and He told Moses that at the front gate there were to be four pillars - and at the Vail there were to be four pillars; BUT AT THE FRONT DOOR TO THE TABERNACLE -- there were to be FIVE PILLARS! Why the change in numbering - when the spacing for them were all the same -- 18 feet?

Recapping:
Holy Place and Most Holy Place = HEAD OF BODY TEMPLE with all its VITAL ORGANS.

And when you picture the HEAD, and then think of the NUMBER FIVE in connection with it -- WHAT COMES TO MIND?

THE FIVE SENSES!

3T, 324, 507 "Without hesitation or argument, we must close and guard the avenues of the soul against evil . . . All should guard the SENSES, lest Satan gain victory over them; FOR THESE ARE THE AVENUES TO THE SOUL."

Gen. 3:4, 6 Eve allowed Satan entrance through all five of her senses, which are PHYSICAL, but the MENTAL AND SPIRITUAL WERE AFFECTED -- watch, and remember that the pillars to the front door of the Tabernacle are BOTH GOLD AND BRASS - the colors of the Tabernacle, as well as the Court. And add to that that the division (90' by 90') come through THE MIDDLE OF THE PILLARS, not in front of, nor behind them.

"And the serpent said unto the woman" (Sense of HEARING invaded!) "The woman saw that the tree was good for food" (Sense of SIGHT invaded.')

"She took of the fruit" (Sense of TOUCH invaded!)

"And did eat" (Sense of TASTE invaded!)

She followed the sense of sight with the sense of taste to determine that the fruit was good, but another sense is also invaded to make that kind of a determination - the Sense of SMELL!

Now the MENTAL INVOLVEMENT! "The woman . . . gave also unto her husband with her, and he did eat."

And finally the SPIRITUAL INVOLVEMENT! "And the eyes of them both were opened, AND THEY KNEW THAT THEY WERE NAKED . . . ." What had they been wearing? The covering of Christ's RIGHTEOUSNESS!

FIVE PILLARS = FIVE SENSES!

Eve's problem, just as with ancient Israel, and today, spiritual Israel stemmed from misguided vision - Jesus is lost sight of. But God had made abundant provisions for both Eve and Israel - and continues to do so today!

And that brings us face to face with NUMBER SIX!

Heb. 4: 2 "For unto us was the GOSPEL preached, AS WELL AS UNTO THEM: But the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it."

How did ancient Israel receive the Gospel? In the very same manner we receive it today - through the Cross of Calvary. The difference (and ONLY DIFFERENCE) is that they had to look FORWARD to the Messiah coming we have to look BACK at the coming, dying, and leaving of Christ."

The Gospel, the 'GOOD NEWS' to ancient Israel was seen in the furniture arrangement in the Sanctuary. Each article of furniture was placed to parallel the six strategic spots on the Cross:

1.

Title Plate nailed over Christ's head

Ark of the Covenant

Heb. 9:4 -- 3 items inside the Ark - Aaron's rod that budded, Pot of manna, and the Law. Ex. 20:8-11 In the fourth commandment of the Law we find the Title for Jesus -- "Lord, God, Creator!"

2.

Face of Jesus

Altar of Incense
(Rev, 8:3; Luke 23:34)

3.

Left Hand of Jesus

Table of Shewbread
(John 6:51)

4.

Right Hand of Jesus

Menorah
(john 16:7)

5.

Wounded SIDE of Jesus

Laver
(1 Kings 7:34; Ex. 29:17; Ex. 30:19-21)

6.

Feet of Jesus

Altar of Sacrifice
(Isa. 52:7; John 1:29)

And that brings us face to face with NUMBER SEVEN - the power of this Gospel!

Rom.. 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the GOSPEL OF CHRIST: FOR IT IS THE POWER OF GOD UNTO SALVATION TO EVERYONE THAT BELIEVETH . . . . "

And that POWER is reflected in the FEASTS AND FESTIVALS as God's way of reminding ancient Israel, and now modern Israel (Spiritual Israel) that He is well able to get His children home - IF they are willing to come home!

Feast No. 1:

PASSOVER
Ex. 12:7,12,13 "And they shall take of the blood (of the slain lamb of verse 6), and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses . . . For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will suite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord. And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I suite the laud of Egypt."

THE "GOSPEL" - THE "GOOD NEWS" IS - THERE IS POWER TO SAVE IN THE BLOOD OF THE LANE! (cf. Rev. 12:11)

Feast No. 2:

FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD
Ex. 12:17 "And ye shall observe the FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever."

THE "GOSPEL" - THE "GOOD NEWS" IS - IN OUR BATTLES WITH THE ENEMY - THERE IS A POWER TO SAVE STRONGER THAN THE POWER TO DESTROY! (1 John 4:4 "Greater is He that is IN YOU, than he that is in the world.")

Feast No. 3:

WAVE SHEAF
Lev. 23:10, 11 "Speak unto the children of Israel . . . When ye come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then shall ye bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: And he shall WAVE THE SHEAF before the Lord, to be accepted for you ... ."

THE "GOSPEL" -- THE "GOOD NEWS" IS THERE IS POWER IN GOD'S FAITHFULNESS! (l Cor. 1:7-9; "So that YE come behind in NO GIFT; WAITING FOR THE COMING OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST: WHO SHALL ALSO -- AS HE DID AT HIS RESURRECTION -- CONFIRM YOU UNTO THE END, that YE may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. GOD IS FAITHFUL, BY WHOM YE WERE CALLED UNTO THE FELLOWSHIP OF HIS SON JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD.")

Feast No. 4:

FEAST OF WEEKS (PENTECOST)

Ex. 34:22 "And thou shalt observe the FEAST OF WEEKS, of the first fruits . . . ."

FEAST OF WEEKS = PENTECOST!

THE "GOSPEL" - THE "GOOD NEWS" IS THERE IS POWER AVAILABLE THROUGH THE THIRD PERSON OF THE GODHEAD - THE HOLY SPIRIT! (cf. Acts 2:1-4; John 14:26, 16:13; 2 Cor. 3: 18)

Feast No. 5:

FEAST OF TRUMPETS

Lev. 23:24 "Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a MEMORIAL OF BLOWING OF TRUMPETS . . . ."

THE "GOSPEL" -- THE "GOOD NEWS" IS THERE IS POWER IN THE WORD OF GOD TO READY '[AN FOR WHAT IS BEFORE HIM! (cf. Deut. 29:29; Amos 3:7)

Feast No. 6:

DAY OF ATONEMENT

Lev. 23:27 "Also on the tenth of this seventh month there shall be a DAY OF ATONEMENT . . . ."

THE "GOSPEL" - THE "GOOD NEWS" IS THAT OUR "GREAT HIGH PRIEST, JESUS CHRIST, HAS POWER TO CLEANSE US FROM "ALL (OUR) SINS BEFORE THE LORD" - TO GET US FROM ISA. 64:6 TO REV. 19:5 - AND THAT POWER IS LOCATED IN THE ARK OF THE COVENANT! (cf. Lev. 16:30; Heb. 4:14-16; Heb. 9:24)

Feast No. 7:

FEAST OF BOOTHS. FEAST OF TABERNACLES

Lev. 23:34, 42, 43 "Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, the fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES..." YE SHALL DWELL IN . . . . all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths: That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt . . ."

THE "GOSPEL" -- "GOOD NEWS" IS THAT THROUGH GOD'S POWER TO SAVE EACH ONE OP US -- WE ALSO HAVE "BOOTHS" HOMES PREPARED FOR US! (cf. John 14:1-3)

And that brings us face to face with NUMBER 8!

Feast No. 8:

FEAST OF DEDICATION

John 10:22 "And it was at Jerusalem THE FEAST OF DEDICATION, and it was winter."

Psa. 77:13 tells us that God's WAY is in the Sanctuary. His WAY is from your home on this earth - to your home in the earth made new!

And as we daily rededicate our lives to God's WAY here on earth - we will be in attendance at that FEAST OF DEDICATION IN HEAVEN! (cf. 1 Cor. 15:31; 9:27)

1. Rev. 3:12 "Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: AND I will write upon him the name of By God, and the name of the city of my God, which is NEW Jerusalem... and I will write upon him my new name."

2. Rev. 22:4 "AND THEY SHALL SEE HIS FACE; AND HIS NAME SHALL BE IN THEIR FOREHEADS.'

AND STILL TODAY!

Heb. 13:5,8 " For He hath said, I WILL NEVER LEAVE THEE, NOR FORSAKE THEE. JESUS CHRIST THE SAME YESTERDAY, AND TO DAY, AND FOR EVER."

Ex. 15:17 And just as He promised ancient Israel a place in His Heavenly Sanctuary. safe and secure from ALL trials and temptations:

Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain OF THINE INHERITANCE, in the place, 0 Lord, WHICH THOU HAST MADE FOR THEE TO DWELL IN; in the SANCTUARY, 0 LORD, WHICH THY HANDS HAVE ESTABLISHED."

So He extends that same offer to the FINAL OVERCOMERS -- YOU AND ME!

"Him that overcometh will I MAKE A PILLAR IN THE TEMPLE OF MY GOD, AND HE SHALL GO NO MORE OUT: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of By God, which is New Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him MY NEW NAME." (Rev. 3:12)

Zech. 34 And -- instead of filthy rags upon our bodies -- we will be given a "change of raiment" -- and this is what we will wear:

They shall walk with me IN WHITE: for they are worthy. He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; AND I WILL NOT BLOT OUT HIS NAME OUT OF THE BOOK OF LIFE, BUT I WILL CONFESS HIS NAME BEFORE MY FATHER, AND BEFORE HIS ANGELS." (Rev. 3:4,5).

NO LONGER ASHAMED TO STAND "FACE TO FACE WITH THE WALL!"

Because we have learned that TRULY "Thy way, O God, IS IN THE SANCTUARY . . . ." (Psa. 77:13).

And "the WAY OF THE LORD IS PERFECT" (Psa. 18:20)!

And "it is the Lord that . . . maketh MY WAY PERFECT!" (Psa. 18:32).
